MPUFL Pre-Season Hat Tournament (open to players of age 16+ of all abilities) $5/player

What's a hat tournament? Everyone registers individually and teams are generated by randomly picking player names out of a hat.
Format: The goal is to have two pools of four teams with three rounds of pool play, with the top team from each pool advancing to the final.
Schedule: Arrive at the fields by 11am for check-in. Games start at 11:30, with round robin pool play games at 11:30am, 1pm, and 2:30pm. The top team from each pool will advance to the finals. The top team will be determined by record first and then by head to head results and then by point differential. We will cap the tournament at eight teams, split into two pools of four teams; games are played to 10, must win by 2. Hard cap is 15 minutes before the end of each pool play round. The final game will start at 4pm.
Teams: The gender/youth ratio is 5:2/4:3 offense dictates. Please be flexible if teams are short (don't force playing down or savage). Play hard, have fun, and make new friends.
Attire: Bring a dark and white shirt.
Food: Tournament snacks, water, and Gatorade will be available throughout the day.
Baggage: For the hat tournament, baggage will be considered, but not guaranteed. Priority will be given to team balance. The goal of a hat tournament is to play with new people.
Prizes: Prizes will be given to tournament winners.
